Emil Viklicky´
Emil Viklicky', pianist and composer, has won many top Jazz prizes in
his varied career since the 1970's. He has performed in international
ensembles all over the World and his distinctly individual synthesis of
modern jazz with Moravian folk song has attracted particular attention
abroad. He also composes incidental and film music and more recently
contemporary classical music.
Viklicky' was president of the Czech Jazz Society for four years, and
currently directs the Summer Jazz Workshops in Frydlant, Prague.
