Varkala (track from digital directions) - Iain Ballamy

Varkala is a magical place by the sea on the cliffs in Kerala, soutern India. I worked with Ashley Slater on many indian- influenced dance pieces for the group " Sankalpam" which helped inspire this piece no doubt. All the sounds heard originate from the T enor Saxophone, using the springs to create a thumb piano and pad hits to create drums etc.
